The goal of this project was to design a net zero house that met the standards for the Living Building Challenge (LBC). The house in question also needed to be able to accommodate up to four people with all materials and systems used for the project being obtained within a 500-mile radius of San Diego. As a net zero house this home needed to produce at least the amount of annual energy it consumed.
