Penn College’s infamous Capstone Project, is meant to be a collective recap of all the knowledge we gained throughout our college education. We were given a wide range of freedom to shape this project into whatever we saw fit such as choosing the project’s location, typology, and developing the building’s program. As a Philadelphia native I found it only right to choose it as the location for this prestigious project. The site I had chosen was at the intersection of Broad & Washington and had been abandoned for over a decade. My vision for project was to transform this brownfield into a mixed use shopping center/office tower surrounded by a community park.
